National Sports Analytics Program for High School Students Sponsored By Nike!

STEM Atlanta Women, Inc. introduces the National Sports Analytics Program, launching October 7, 2024, to empower high school students nationwide with data science skills through sports. In collaboration with The Sports Analytics Club Program (SACP) and sponsored by Nike, participants will engage in hands-on, sports-themed projects guided by experts from MLB, NBA, and ESPN, alongside top educators and university faculty.

Nike's Annual Hack to Play Summer Hackathon – “The Future of Youth Sports”

This three-day hackathon, hosted by Nike in partnership with STEM Atlanta Women, engages rising 6th to 8th graders in a dynamic exploration of technology’s role in sports. Held from June 12th to 14th, 2024, the event brings together youth, Nike’s Social & Community Impact team, and Global Technology mentors to develop tech-based solutions that address community challenges through sport.

Nike Air Max Activation with STEM Atlanta Women

This in-store activation event, held at the Nike Unite Retail Store at Atlantic Station, celebrated the innovation behind Nike Air Max technology while providing young scholars with an engaging STEM experience. Participants explored Nike's air technology, learned about its application in sportswear, and created personal terrariums to understand ecological science.

STEM Atlanta Women’s “The Science of Beauty” Initiative

STEM Atlanta Women, in partnership with Spelman College and STEM Exposure, presents the "Science of Beauty" program, designed to introduce African American girls (ages 14-17) to STEM opportunities in the beauty industry. Through engaging workshops and a week-long summer camp, participants explore the chemistry, biology, and technology behind skincare and cosmetics, fostering innovation and inclusivity in STEM and beauty sciences.

Bang The Gavel -A Court Day Lunch & Learn Series – Fulton County Magistrate Court.

Bang The Gavel – A Court Day Lunch & Learn Series is an immersive educational program developed in partnership with the Magistrate Court of Fulton County to expose middle and high school students (grades 6-12) from the metro Atlanta area to careers in the judiciary. This one-day event, held during the winter in February, is designed to foster interest in the legal field and provide students with hands-on learning experiences in a real-world setting.

AI Adventures for Young Minds – Middle School Scholars Grades 6-8)

AI Adventures for Young Minds program is a dynamic virtual learning experience aimed at introducing middle school students (grades 6-8) to the principles and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This six-week afterschool program, offered in the spring, leverages hands-on learning and practical AI projects to inspire curiosity and foster foundational skills in AI technology. The program addresses NSF’s goals by engaging young students in cutting-edge STEM topics, promoting critical thinking, and building a pipeline for future technologists.

Drone Technology Program in Partnership with Hidden Pilot Project

The Drone Technology Program, in partnership with the Hidden Pilot Project, offers middle and high school students in Atlanta and Macon County hands-on experience with drone technology. Through spring and summer sessions, students explore drone applications in industries like construction, real estate, and photography, while learning about FAA certification and career pathways. With less than 8% of female drone pilots in the U.S., the program aims to empower more girls to enter the aviation industry.

University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine Ready, VET, GO! Summer Camp – (An Award-winning 3-Year Partnership & Program).

The Ready, Vet, Go program, held annually in collaboration with the University of Georgia, introduces middle school students (grades 6-8) to veterinary science through an immersive summer experience at UGA’s Athens campus. Founded by Dr. Susan Williams to promote diversity in veterinary careers, the program inspires students from underrepresented backgrounds to explore STEM fields through hands-on learning and mentorship.

AI & Quantum Computing Program in Partnership with The Coding School and MIT

The AI & Quantum Computing Program, an annual fall initiative conducted in partnership with The Coding School and MIT, provides high school students (grades 9-12) with a comprehensive introduction to two of the most transformative fields in technology: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing. Running from September through April, this program combines rigorous academic instruction with hands-on coding experience, offering students an unparalleled opportunity to explore advanced STEM topics under the guidance of industry experts.

This dynamic program enables students passionate about music and technology to learn how to create music through coding. Held on a rolling basis throughout Spring, Summer, and Winter, it introduces students to music production, video production, and entrepreneurship within the music industry. Participants explore various career pathways by engaging with industry professionals, including artists and tech coaches, who teach essential skills in coding, collaboration, and creativity.

The Science of Golf at PXG Atlanta

The Science of Golf Summer Program, created in partnership with PXG Golf and STEM Atlanta Women, offers high school girls an immersive experience into the world of golf through the lens of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This innovative program celebrates National Women’s Golf Month and seeks to inspire young women from underserved backgrounds in Atlanta, GA, by combining STEM education with the sport of golf. PXG Golf, renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence, is known for pioneering advancements in golf equipment under the visionary leadership of Bob Parsons, founder of GoDaddy.
